This famous hotel is built in the shape of a 250 metre crocodile. The jaws of the crocodile encompass the entrance and lead to the expansive marble foyer, the body houses the 110 air conditioned guest rooms overlooking a central courtyard which features billabong and swimming pool, designed to represent the crocodile's heart. Dining options include a tavern, for pizzas & counter meals and the restaurant for a la carte & buffet meals. Other features include the Ochre Gallery, with paintings & artifacts and a gift shop.

Gagudju lodge is situated right beside the magnificent Yellow Water Billabong in Kakadu National Park. The air conditioned lodge rooms are set in landscape gardens. Lodge facilities include two restaurants, pool, petrol station and general store. The Warradjan Aboriginal Cultural Centre is located less than 1 kilometre by road from the Lodge and offers a walk through an Aboriginal cultural display area, cinema shows and an Aboriginal arts and craft shop. Gagudju Lodge is also the start point of the famous Yellow Waters wildlife & nature cruise.
